This policy explains what personal data Mahaksh Technologies (“Mahaksh”, “we”, “us”) collects through this website, why, and how you can exercise your rights. We act as the Data Fiduciary for this data under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”).
1. Who we are
Mahaksh Technologies is an Indian technology company. You can reach us about anything in this policy at hello@mahaksh.in.
2. What we collect
We only collect personal data that you choose to give us, plus the minimum technical data needed to run and protect the site.
- Enquiry form: your name, organisation, work email, phone number (optional), area of interest, the brief you write, and the page you sent it from.
- Spam and abuse prevention: the IP address and browser user-agent of the device that submitted the form, stored with the enquiry.
- Emails you send us directly, and our replies.
- Technical data: like any website, our hosting provider processes IP addresses and request details to deliver pages and protect against attacks.
This website does not use cookies, advertising trackers or third-party analytics, and fonts are served from our own domain.
3. Why we use it
- To respond to your enquiry, prepare proposals, demos, site surveys or quotations, and follow up on them.
- To keep a record of our business correspondence.
- To detect and prevent spam, fraud and abuse of the website.
- To comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling.
4. Consent
We process the data in the enquiry form on the basis of your consent, which you give by submitting the form. You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing hello@mahaksh.in; we will then stop processing and delete your data unless the law requires us to keep it. Withdrawal does not affect processing that took place before it.
5. Where it is stored and who processes it
- Enquiries are stored in Amazon Web Services (AWS) in the Mumbai (ap-south-1) region, India, encrypted at rest.
- The website is delivered through AWS CloudFront's global network, which may process request data outside India in transit.
- Our business email is provided by Google Workspace.
These providers act as our Data Processors under contract and may only use the data to provide their services to us. We share data with others only where required by law or with your consent.
6. How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, unless an ongoing business relationship or a legal obligation requires us to keep them longer. After that they are deleted.
7. How we protect it
Data is sent over HTTPS, stored encrypted, and accessible only to authorised Mahaksh staff who need it to respond to you. Access is restricted by role and logged.
8. Your rights
Under the DPDP Act you have the right to:
- obtain a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we process it;
- have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected, completed or updated;
- have your data erased when it is no longer needed or you withdraw consent;
- have a grievance addressed by us; and
- nominate another person to exercise these rights in the event of your death or incapacity.
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@mahaksh.in with the subject “Data request”. We may need to verify your identity before acting. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
9. Grievance officer
Questions or complaints about how we handle personal data can be sent to our Grievance Officer at hello@mahaksh.in. We aim to acknowledge grievances within 7 days and resolve them within 30 days.
10. Children
This website is intended for businesses and public bodies. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us data, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above shows when it last changed; material changes will be highlighted on this page.
